The owners of this home required more living space and wanted to bring the interior and exterior finishes throughout the home to a higher level.
To accomplish the goal for more space, an existing addition was removed and a new larger addition with a wrap around porch were added. The unfinished attic space was turned into a bunk room for family and friends. Stairs were added to incorporate the new attic space as part of the house.
Antique beams and extensive built-ins were added throughout the house in keeping with its' historic roots. The exterior was reworked with extensive rot repairs, new decorative trims, new doors and a new metal roof.
A comprehensive strategy was implemented to improve the homes insulation, air sealing, moisture control, and mechanical systems. This greatly improved the owners comfort and interior air quality while reducing energy use.
